BEDFORD – The state Department of Transportation has begun the first phase of the $16 million project on the F.E. Everett Turnpike to convert the Bedford Toll Plaza into an All Electronic Tolling facility. MANCHESTER – Kyle Loconte, 37, of Bedford, was taken into custody on March 17 for allegedly driving the wrong way while under the influence on Interstate 293. According to State Police, troopers responded at 9:42 p.m. to several calls about “a vehicle traveling the wrong way and hitting multiple guardrails on I-293 near exit 2.” When troopers located Loconte, he reportedly moved over to the correct side of the highway as he approached exit 1. CONCORD – Elizabeth Morse, 56, formerly of New Hampshire, was sentenced on March 7 to 27 months in prison for federal wire fraud. According to court documents, Morse was employed by Bedford Women's Care Associates for several years and was the office manager in 2020. In that capacity, one of her primary responsibilities was to process payroll using ADP Payroll Services. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Morse, who has since moved to Albuquerque, N.M., “manipulated the payroll processes at BWCA” to increase her rate of pay. LONDONDERRY – Calvin Ly-Bishop, 23, formerly of Bedford, was allegedly killed in a gunfight with Londonderry Police officers on Feb. 26. According to the Londonderry Police Department, officers responded to Planet Fitness at 4 Orchard View Dr. for a report of a single gunshot. Although Ly-Bishop managed to flee the scene before officers arrived, he was found in his vehicle about a half-mile away near the intersection of Winding Pond Road and Lincoln Drive. MERRIMACK – Tyler Gagnon, 33, of Nashua, was taken into custody on Feb. 26 following a high-speed pursuit on the Everett Turnpike. According to State Police, Gagnon was observed in Manchester at 9:28 a.m., driving 80 miles per hour in a 30 m.p.h. zone.
